<p>For now though we can rely on saunas used by one of the characters in the animated series King of the Hill. There the new age healer, a native American, has a tent set up in his yard he uses as a sauna with rocks and a wood burning fire.</p>
<p>The men he charges to use it start having hallucinations. One sees himself driving his motorcycle through a giant doughnut. He says he now knows how he will die. He sees that his junk food addiction will be his end. Another sees himself dying at the hand of a giant insect. He is a pest exterminator and sees the justice in store for him.</p>
<p>The other man, who sells propane grills for a living, has no problems in his life, no guilt. He sees in his dream himself selling a propane grill and making a great sale. But his dad, a world war two vet, hallucinates that he sees the enemy he killed in the war. He panics and runs out of the sauna blaming his son for taking him in there.</p>
<p>What you do with your sauna, body cleansing, or mind and soul cleansing is your choice. But it would be nice not to have to worry about the power bill. You can go with a wood burning system. But you need to pay for the wood to burn and you have to clean up the ashes that are left. And you have no temperature control on the unit that burns wood for heat.</p>
<p>You can go with a gas unit. You have a cleaner system and you have the temperature control. But this can run up your gas bill. But it might be worth the money if you like the sauna benefits. You can go with an electric unit or <a href="http://www.saunafin.com/infrared.htm">infrared saunas</a>. You have the clean system and you have the temperature gauge. Of course you will also have the electric bill increase at the end of the month.</p>
<p>It would be nice to have a solar solution. If you had a system that effectively collected solar power and stored it and used it efficiently we would be able to save money on our power bills and have a great sauna in our homes, or even an <a href="http://www.saunafin.com/outdoor_saunas.htm">outdoor sauna</a>.</p>
<p>With all the talk of a green economy we should expect such an option in the near future we would think. It will cost money initially to set up the solar power system. This concept works in that it allows you to predict the future, one that you long for, and as a result enables you to create the life you would like. An example is from when you drop your kids off at school to when you arrive at work. Dropping your kids off at school is one segment and the second can be your arrival at work.</p>

When we do not want to eat what we have in the house we think nothing of jumping in the car and heading out to eat.</p>
<p>Have you expressed gratitude for the job you have? In the recent economic recession, thousands of persons have lost their jobs and their primary means of supporting their families. Even so, most of these are eligible for at least a year to eighteen months of unemployment compensation. Without a job or working, they are bringing in 75 to 80 percent of the income that they had when working full time.</p>
<p>When was the last time you stopped to be grateful for your family of origin. When you were a baby and a child unable to care for yourself, they offered nurture and love. Tonight, thousands of children will go to bed in the home of a foster family and could by moved by the courts tomorrow. Thousands more continue to live in abusive homes and will go to bed in fear tonight, hoping that their fears do not become a reality.</p>
<p>Even with so many things to be grateful for, there are many people that live their lives focusing only on the negative things of life. They focus on what they do not have rather on those things that they do have and should be showing gratitude for. As a result of their negative thinking, they are forcing away the very things that they say they want to have.</p>

Breathing is an involuntary action, so it is always there, it is rhythmic and this falls nicely in line with the theories on meditation. If you have ever been to an exercise or yoga class, or listened to guided meditation recordings, the lesson always starts by asking you to take a deep, or a few deep breaths.</p>
<p>Deep breathing allows you to take stock and starts the relaxation process. It fills your lungs with oxygen and this in itself is relaxing. So &#8220;take a breather&#8221; and let us get on with this brief lesson in simple meditation using the breath as a guide.</p>
<p>When the breath is the focal point it can be used to release the stresses and anxieties which trouble us. So start by inhaling through the nostrils or mouth and on the exhale, imaging that all your stress, worry and anxiety is being released with the breath and out through the soles of the feet, finger tips or top of the head. Imagine that all the tensions and toxins in your body are being flushed away in that exhale.</p>
<p>Shallow breathing while imagining there is something light in the way of your breath, is also a good way of learning to focus on your breathing. Imagine you have a feather or piece of thistledown on your chin and you can&#8217;t disturb it at any cost. The more you focus and control your breathing the more simple you will find it to relax.</p>
<p>You need to take whatever time you can out of your day and practice these breathing exercises whenever you have to opportunity. There are no fixed rules, do it when you go to bed at night or when you wake in the morning or both. Whatever makes you feel better!</p>
